Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Valosilta processes, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In short: this website does not use cookies or tracking, and we only process the information you choose to send us.
Who we are
The data controller is Masoud Nabi, trading as Valosilta, based in Helsinki, Finland. For anything related to privacy, email hello@valosilta.com.
What we collect and why
When you email us
If you contact us or book a call, we receive your name, email address, company and whatever you write. We use this only to reply to you, arrange calls and, if we work together, deliver and invoice the work.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b)).
When you work with us
For clients we also keep contract, invoicing and project information. Legal basis: performance of a contract and our legal obligations under Finnish accounting law (Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c)).
When you visit this website
This website does not use cookies, advertising trackers or third-party fonts. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. If we measure visits, we use cookie-free statistics that count page views without identifying or following individual visitors.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare, Inc.: website hosting, security and email forwarding
- Google LLC: email (Gmail), where messages sent to our address are delivered
These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We never sell personal data or share it for marketing.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months, then deleted
- Client and project records: for the duration of our work and as long as needed to handle any follow-up
- Invoices and accounting records: for the periods required by the Finnish Accounting Act
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email hello@valosilta.com. We reply within one month.
If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
Changes
If we change how we process personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
